Campaign for Mason Students—Thank You!
With strong support from the community, the Campaign for Mason Students has raised nearly $12 million.
The Campaign's true triumph comes from the students who are thriving at Mason because of private support.
Reaching Goals, Achieving Dreams
When the Campaign for Mason Students began in 2004, the goal was to raise at least $8 million in endowment and current use funds to:
- increase the number of merit- and need-based scholarships;
- create additional opportunities for student–faculty collaborative research;
- enhance University Libraries’ collections;
- strengthen the Honors and study abroad programs; and
- expand outreach services.
Since the campaign's launch, George Mason has been able to:
- increase its endowment by $7 million;
- raise nearly $500,000 for university libraries and more than $300,000 for university life programs; and
- establish new endowed scholarships in all the university's schools and colleges.
Mason Foundation trustee Jimmy Hazel, JD '84, and university Provost Peter Stearns serve as co-chairs of the campaign committee.
The Campaign for Mason Students ends June 30, 2008. Contact us for more information about ways to make a difference for Mason's students or make a gift or pledge now. Remember that naming opportunities are also available for endowment gifts.
