Hylton Performing Arts Center Debuts Name, Breaks Ground

Hylton Center for the Performing ArtsA $5 million leadership grant from the Cecil D. and Irene V. Hylton Foundation has given a name to the new performing arts center now under construction on Mason's Prince William campus. Half of the Hylton grant is a challenge grant encouraging the community to support the Center.

Other spaces named to date include Merchant Hall, the Gregory Family Center, Didlake Grand Foyer, and Buchanan Partners Gallery. The project is a partnership of Prince William County, the City of Manassas, and George Mason University, with support from the Commonwealth of Virginia and the private sector. MORE>

Kiplinger's Names Mason to "Best Values" List

Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine has named Mason to its national top 100 "Best Values in Public Education" list. According to the magazine, it bases the rankings of public colleges on "a combination of outstanding academic quality plus an affordable price tag." MORE>
