A Message from the Dean
George Mason University is a public university located in Northern Virginia within the vibrant Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Here in one of the most diverse regions in the nation, the convergence of business and industry with federal, state, and local government provides a truly outstanding setting for management education.
Rated among the top 25% of accredited business programs, the School of Management, (SOM) offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. Our graduate programs include a part-time MBA for working professionals, an EMBA for senior managers, and a Masters of Science program for technology professionals who aspire to executive roles in their organizations. To prepare students for the new global economy, all our graduate programs require students to participate in an international residency. Our undergraduate program provides opportunities for interdisciplinary studies while providing a solid foundation in the core business courses in accounting, finance, management, marketing, policy and strategy, and information systems and operations management.
Our faculty is committed to both teaching and scholarship. Our students balance entrepreneurial thinking with real-world experience. Most of our graduates stay in the region, providing a strong cohort of Mason business connections.
