Dominion Foundation Gift Provides Equipment for Renovated Lab
When renovations on the Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering Teaching Laboratory are completed in the summer of 2012, a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) will offer new research opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students in the Volgenau School of Engineering. Washington Post Columnist Steven Pearlstein to Join Mason
Steven Pearlstein, Washington Post columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner, will join Mason's faculty as Clarence J. Robinson Professor of Public and International Affairs in fall 2011. The Robinson Professors program was established in 1984 by a bequest from the late Clarence J. Robinson. Read more>
After Harrowing 9/11 Experience, Adam Behrens Follows His Dream
Adam Behrens was serving in the Army on September 11, 2001 when his unit was called to assist at the Pentagon. His experiences lead him to follow his dream of completing an engineering degree. A recipient of the 9/11 Scholarship, Behrens was able to go to school full time and graduated in May 2010. Read more>
EIP Graduate Roxana Cardona Gomez Seeks to Help Others
The child of immigrant parents, Gomez enrolled in Mason’s Early Identification Program (EIP) as a high school student. She chose the medical technology program at Mason and earned the Barbara J. and B. Mark Fried Endowed Scholarship, which has helped her afford her education and graduate in May 2010. Read more>

The Office of Sustainability recently broke ground on a sustainable produce garden on Mason’s Fairfax Campus. The project is being launched in cooperation with the Fairfax County Restoration Project (FCRP) and the Transurban-Fluor Capital Beltway Project Community Grant Program. Read more>
